Purchasing a antique clock from the Internet can be a scary thing. It only makes sense, you really don't know anything about us or our outstanding reputation in the clock sales and restoration field. It's only logical that you could be skeptical about spending $400.00 plus dollars for a antique clock, especially when your buying from a complete stranger. Well, hopefully I can address some of your concerns and set your mind at ease. First, Back In Time Clock Repair & Restoration has been in the clock sales and restoration field for a little over 17 years. We are a member of the NAWCC (National Assocation of Watch and Clock Collectors) and support this fine organization for educating the public in all aspects of clock and watch collecting. Back In Time has been acquiring and selling antique clocks both locally and nationally for 17 years  Our national antique clock sales are over 650 and we have many satisfied repeat customers. We try to offer reasonably priced wall and mantel clocks from the major manufactures during the mid 1850's up to and including the 1920's. We list all known defects, lets face it anything that's 150 years old is going to show a few character marks here and there otherwise its probably a reproduction and there are many of them out there. The majority of our clocks are purchased in Pennsylvania and only if they meet are strict standards of originality and condition. We always invite you to call and ask questions especially if this is your first antique clock purchase.
The first rule in clock collecting is Caveat Emptor! Yes there are many sites that sell antique clocks, the first that comes to mind is ebay. We see way to many clocks coming into our shop for repair that where purchased on ebay with some vague description about the clock and a few fuzzy pictures or promises that it just needs a cleaning or a key to work. WRONG! - bottom line, the person purchasing the clock assumed it worked and actually kept time only to find out it didn't run and normally blamed themselves for overwinding it (a myth - a clock can not be overwound). Most of the clocks listed on ebay and other auction sites where purchased at garage and estate sales  by unscrupulous dealers - then put up for auction to make a quick buck at your expense.  Now, to overhaul that clock movement and have it work correctly will cost anywhere from $300.00 to $350.00 for a proper rebuild for a time and strike movement. In the end it would have been LESS EXPENSIVE to purchase your clock from a reputable clock dealer knowing it functions and will continue to function for many years down the road. So our advice to you "ASK QUESTIONS" and do some research. Compare prices of reputable clock dealers to ours and please feel free to call us at 215 721-3076 or email with questions about any clock or clock parts you see on our site.

Don't risk purchasing your family heirloom from a jack of all trades just to save a couple of dollars. You could save some money up front but will pay hard earned dollars in the end to get it overhauled and working as it should.

Notice we do not have a vast quality of clocks for sale. Fact is there are tons of junk out there and only a small quantity of clocks in desirable condition for us to acquire. Finding clocks in excellent condition is getting harder and harder to do. Many have major issues with the cabinet, movements that are
beyond repair do to unqualified people working on them, components switched from clock to clock which include dial and bezels and even movements from different manufactures. The fact is WE HAVE SEEN IT ALL but the nice thing about us "seeing it all" means you WILL NOT. We try to give our customers the best value for there money, becasue we buy right and do all the restoration work ourselves. We made a video showing how we overhaul a clock movement and ask you to view it to get a good understanding of what's behind the dial of a clock and the process needed to overhaul a clock movement. We are not professional videographers but the point is made.

We are here to answer your questions, so please call
